All Cuffed Up And Nowhere To Go. Patt Notes: For Kira, who actually gave me this idea and this challenge. :) Hope you feel better soon. Summary: We have Jim, Blair, handcuffs and someone has a fever. What could possible happen? Well you'll have to read and find out. ******************************* Jim got done with his paperwork and sighed. Two more hours until vacation started with Blair. They were going to go fishing and camping. They were going to stay at a really nice cabin this time. Jim had all sorts of plans for the two of them. He got up from his desk and knocked on Simon's door. "Come in, Jim," Simon yelled. "Sir," Jim said, "I've got all the paperwork done that you asked for and was wondering if I could take off a little early. I want to go and pick up some things before we go on our trip." Simon smiling said, "Yeah, go on. Get out of here and have a good trip. We'll see you in a week." "Thanks Simon," Jim yelled over his shoulder, "we'll see you in a week, unless we get held hostage or something." He laughed as he went to the elevator. Jim could hear Simon coming up behind him. Simon said, "Jim, where are you going to be staying, just in case I have to check on you for some emergency." Jim smiled and said, "I'm sorry, Simon. Now I have you worried, don't I? I was joking. Here let me write the address and phone number down. We're staying at a cabin this time. Blair's going to be in for a surprise." "Speaking of Sandburg," Simon asked, "where the hell is he today? I don't remember giving him the day off." "Simon," Jim said patiently, "he asked you for the day off almost a week ago. And you gave it to him. He had shopping to do and things to pack for the trip." "Okay," Simon said, "get out of here. Tell him to have a good time too." Jim smiled at this because no one knew about them in the bullpen. He wished they did sometimes. But Blair figured that it wasn't a good idea to broadcast it to everyone and be separated because of it. Enough of that kind of thinking, Jim thought. Back to happy and fun thoughts. Jim smiled all the way to the elevator and couldn't wait to get home and start on their trip to the cabin. The traffic wasn't too bad, so he made it home in record time. As he came through the door, he could hear Blair talking to himself in the office. "That's right, you have to pack all of this, or Jim won't be letting you have any fun at all." "Hey," Jim said as Blair jumped, "are you trying to say I don't let you have fun?" Seeing the look on Blair's face made Jim laugh even harder. Jim ended up saying, "Sandburg, you're so easy." "Jim," Blair said breathless, "why are you home already? I'm not done packing yet. I wanted to have it all done by the time you got home but I fell asleep for about two hours." "Blair," Jim asked worriedly, "you feeling all right? You look a little feverish." He reached over and kissed the man and held his hand on Blair's forehead and said, "You are a little bit warm. Lets be sure to bring along Tylenol. Just in case." "Worry wart," Blair said smiling, "I swear you worry more than my Mom does." Jim glared at him and said, "With good reason, Sandburg. Now let's get this stuff ready to go. Are we packed and ready?" "Yeah man," Blair said happily, "we are all set. I just finished packing the last of our things. It's all set. And our camping gear is all by the front door." "Well hot shot," Jim said, "we aren't going to need the tent. I got us a cabin this time. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I figured I didn't want to make you drag that all down if we don't need it." He patted Blair on the ass as he went by laughing. They got everything loaded into the truck and were on their way. This vacation was needed so badly by both of them. They were both very quiet on the trip up there. Jim could feel some heat coming off of Blair's body and it wasn't that kind of heat. He frowned and said, "Chief, as soon as we pass the little store close to the cabin we'll get plenty of liquids because your fever is back up again. I don't want you getting sicker. Understood?" "Yeah," Blair said, "I knew you would freak out if you knew I had a fever and I was right." "Blair," Jim said angrily, "did you know that you had the fever before I got home? Is that what you're saying here?" "I knew it." Blair said, "You'll go off into your Blessed Protector Mode and I don't have a chance of having a good time at all. I need this Jim. I want this. So, let me take care of myself and I'll be sure to take the Tylenol. It's just a virus. Hey, maybe it's that Kali Virus." Jim glared at him and said, "Blair, its not a joke. You're always making jokes about things when you're sick. Well, no more. You're not going anywhere once we get there until we get that fever down. Okay?" "All right," Blair said giving in, "we'll see to the fever first and then the fun will begin." Blair leaned against the window of the truck and fell asleep. Jim was beginning to get concerned about it. He knew that Blair had problems with fevers now and then and sure didn't want to be far from a medical clinic if he needed to take him in. He knew that the cabin wasn't far from one in town. Jim tried to relax and just enjoy the quiet. Jim observed Blair the entire trip and Blair slept the whole way. Something was wrong. Jim was worried. When Jim pulled up to the cabin, he let Blair sleep while he unloaded every single thing in the truck. Then he went out and woke Blair up. "Babe," Jim said quietly, "time to wake up and get into the cabin." "Hey," Blair said smiling, "we're here, eh? I need to take some Tylenol and drink something and then I'll be better. Stop worrying, you have that look on your face. Get it off right now. I can't fuck with someone when they have that look on their face." Jim smiled when he saw that Blair was being responsible enough to take the pills on his own. He said, "Chief, just take the pills and have a lot to drink while I unload the groceries and everything else." By the time that Jim was done putting it all away, Blair was sitting there watching him and he was less warm. Jim was pleased with that. About an hour later they were sitting on the sofa making out and the fever seemed to be gone. Jim said, "Chief, the fever seems to have left for now. But we'll keep an eye on it." "Jim," Blair said, "I have some plans so I have to go and find a few things. I'll meet you in the bedroom. How does that sound?" Jim said, "Like a plan, Stan." Laughing Blair said, "If you start singing fifty ways to leave your lover, I'm going to slug you." Jim went into the bedroom laughing. He wondered what Blair had planned for tonight. He had seemed pretty excited about it all week long. Now he'd find out what his favorite person had in mind. Blair came walking through the bedroom with a bag. He told Jim to get out of his clothes. So, of course, Jim did. Jim thought to himself, /he must have been using that guide voice to have such control over me. Yeah, keep telling yourself that, Ellison and see if it becomes true. Face it, you're whipped big time. / Jim lay on the bed, naked, waiting for Blair. Blair started taking his clothes off and got the bag. In the bag were condoms, flavored lube, Blair's favorite handcuffs and a vibrating dildo. Jim looked at all of this and said, "Wait a minute, Chief, I never said I wanted to play with handcuffs. You know I'm not into bondage. I don't like the feeling of not having control." "Jim," Blair whined, "that's what the whole idea behind it is. Forget it. It's not a big thing. You can use them on me. Just like we always do. I was just hoping that you'd trust me for once." Jim knew he would give in, but wished for once that he could say no. "Okay," Jim said, "but if I say I don't like it, you'll listen to me, right?" "Of course," Blair said smiling, "I would never make you do something against your will." Blair got the cuffs out and put them on Jim. It was a four-poster bed, so Blair had two sets, one for each wrist to each post at the top of the headboard. Blair was really happy about this. He was getting into this program. And so was Jim, who had become hard just having Blair put the cuffs on him. Oh yeah, this was going to be fun. Jim was just getting into Blair kissing him when he realized that Blair was breathing funny. Jim said, "Chief, what's wrong? Babe, look at me." Blair looked at Jim and Jim could see that the fever was back with a vengeance and Jim was in no position to fight with Blair about it. "Chief," Jim asked sweetly, "remember how you said I could be undone anytime I wanted to? Well, I want the cuffs off, Chief. I'm not feeling good. I need to go to the bathroom." Blair looked at Jim oddly and said, "No. You promised you'd use these and you're going to use them." Then he started making love to Jim. Jim was trying to fight him off because he could feel the fever rising. He felt like it was about 101 right now. He wasn't having much luck fighting Blair off. Instead he was as hard as a rock. "Chief," begged Jim, "could you undo these cuffs for me for just a little while. I'm about ready to throw up. I feel really bad, seriously, Chief." Blair just ignored Jim. He continued the onslaught and Jim was soon caught up in it and swept away. He was shouting as he came and Blair did the same. Jim was trying to focus on Blair. Blair stood up and passed out. "Blair," Jim screamed, "babe, please wake up, please. You've got to wake up, Blair so I can hold you. Blair, please?" But no amount of begging was going to help, the fever was rising and Jim was scared to death. He wondered what the hell was going on. Why did Blair suddenly have that high fever? How could he get out of these damn cuffs? It figures that the bed would be one of the best made pieces of wood Jim had ever seen in his life. No way would he be able to loosen it and break it. Jim thought this might be a good time to panic. He started thrashing around and yelling for Blair to wake up, to no avail. Meanwhile back in Cascade, Simon found a paper that was needed for the morning court hearing and Jim hadn't signed it. So, he called the cabin and got no answer. He figured that Jim and Blair were ignoring him, so he called both of their cell phones, but got no answer at either of them either. This was beginning to bother him. He'd just have to take the drive up there and bother them. In fact, he decided just in case something was wrong, he'd take Taggert with him. "Taggert," Simon said, "I can't get a hold of Ellison on the phone at the cabin or on his cell phones. Do you want to take a run up there with me? I have to have these papers signed by tomorrow and he's gone for the week. He and Sandburg are camping." Taggert said, "Sure Simon, I'd love to take the drive. I'm about tired of being cooped up in the bullpen for the last week. The fresh air will do us both good." They went down to the parking garage, got in the car and started off for the one-hour drive. As they drove they talked about how they wished they could spend the time up there with Blair and Jim. Joel and Simon both loved the fishing trips they all went on together. If only they knew the whole story. Back at the cabin, Jim was still trying to get Blair to answer him and wake up. Jim was pretty upset about him still being out. In fact, Jim was beginning to panic because the fever was rising. It's about 103 Jim thought. The only thing that was keeping Jim calm was the fact that the phone kept ringing so someone might be on their way to check on them. Then again, Jim wasn't so sure he wanted anyone to see him like this. In fact, Jim was quite positive, he didn't want anyone seeing him like this. He started yelling for Blair again. Between worry and embarrassment, he was about going nuts. Blair woke up and he was very red in his face, but he saw Jim lying on the bed and got hard just looking at him. Blair said, "Jim, I'm going to make you feel so good you won't know if you're coming or going." "Blair," Jim hurriedly said, "babe, please undo the cuffs. I need to run to the bathroom really fast." "I'm not falling for it, man." Blair said, laughing. "I know what you want. And you're not getting away from me." Jim said, "Chief, will you lie on me and make me feel better? I'm not feeling so good right now. I just need to feel you up close." Blair climbed on top of Jim and started rubbing their cocks together. But no matter what, Jim couldn't get into it. He was much too worried. Blair saw that he wasn't making Jim hard and got upset. He started sniffling and had tears running down his face and Jim said, "Chief, could you let me go, please? Please, chief?" Instead of letting him go, he crawled up further and fell asleep on top of Jim. Jim tried to move but couldn't. He was stuck there until someone came to their aid. Jim hoped that someone would. Blair was getting hotter. Jim was getting really scared. He started talking to him, begging him to wake up. As Blair lay on top of him getting warmer and warmer, Jim just kept saying, "Blair, babe, wake up for me. Please wake up and undo these cuffs for me." Jim had tears beginning to fall down his face. He was so afraid that Blair would become worse and have seizures. Jim kept kissing Blair's head trying to get as close to him as he could. Jim heard a sound outside and realized that a car was pulling up. He knew this was going to be embarrassing, but he didn't care. He needed to get Blair into a cool bath and get that fever down. Simon and Taggert knocked on the door and they heard Jim yelling for them to come in. They walked in and wondered what the hell was making Jim sound so frantic. They both had their guns drawn. They walked into the bedroom and both of their mouths fell open. They weren't prepared for anything like this. Sandburg was lying on top of Jim. Both of them naked as the day they were born. And Jim had tears running down his face and was handcuffed to the posts on the bed. Blair seemed to be either sleeping or unconscious. Simon was thinking probably the latter, since Jim seemed to be really upset. Simon stepped over to the bed and took the bedspread and laid it over their bodies and got the key out for the handcuffs. He undid Jim and Jim took Blair into his arms and held him and said, "Chief, please wake up." Jim got out of bed and quickly threw his pants on. He picked Blair up, covering him with a blanket and ran him into the bathroom and said to Simon, "Simon, could you please start running water in the whirlpool for us. I need it to be cool. Blair's fever is about 103. I'll have to get that down soon or run him to the hospital." Simon started the water running, while Joel went into the kitchen to get the Tylenol and some ice water for him to drink. But of course first Blair would have to be awake. Taggert walked back into the bathroom carrying the pills and the ice water. Jim was stepping into the cool whirlpool tub and was shaking and so was Blair from the cool water. It wasn't cold; instead luke warm. Jim needed to get Blair's temperature down. Simon sat on the edge of the whirlpool and watched his two best detectives. Jim was sitting with his back to Simon, holding Blair like he was afraid that he would lose him. Simon could tell how scared Jim was. Taggert came over and sat down beside Simon and said, "So Jim, did you ever plan on telling any of us? Didn't you think that we would understand?" Jim wasn't really in the mood for this now. Shit, he thought, I don't need it. Blair doesn't need it. Blair's fever was going down a little bit each moment they were in the cooler water. Jim finally looked back at Simon and Joel and said, "Well, if you want to know the truth, we didn't think that anyone would approve of us being together. Blair didn't think that we were in the idyllic job for telling people that we are lovers. Blair was scared and I promised to never mention it." "Jim," Simon started, "we think the world of Sandburg. We don't mind this news at all. Well, okay, I can't speak for everyone, but I really think that you are perfect for each other. You've always gotten along better than most married couples. You've been together for going on five years now. We all can see it's going to last." "I couldn't agree more," Joel said, "this thing with the two of you is bigger than the both of you. Hell most of us thought you guys were already together anyhow. Is his fever going down, Jim?" "Thank you for your support, guys." Jim said emotionally, "Joel his fever is down about three degrees, so he's getting better little by little. I think he'll be just fine." Right then Blair woke up and looking over Jim's shoulder saw Simon and Joel sitting on the edge of the tub and tried to crawl right into Jim. Jim said, "Chief, it's all right. Things will be just fine. You had a fever babe and thankfully Simon and Joel came by and got me out of the cuffs." Blair buried his face harder into Jim's chest. He said, "Please make everyone leave, Jim. I don't want to face anyone right now." Jim looked over at Simon and Joel and said, "Could you guys give us a little privacy here?" Simon and Joel both got up and moved to the door. Taggert turned around and said, "Jim, tell Blair we still love him." Smiling he walked out of the bathroom. "I told you," Jim said, "they're crazy about you. How many times have I told you that? Well, it just goes to prove that I was right. Let's mark this somewhere on a calendar." Jim said as he smiled happily. Blair pulled back and said, "Jim, I'm so sorry. I'll never do this again. God, I can't believe that you had to be humiliated like this." Jim pulled him closer and said, "I'm glad your fever is going down. But I sure didn't care about who saw us or why. Well, maybe I did at first when I thought about someone finding us dead or something, both naked, with me cuffed to the bed." Blair kissed Jim passionately and pulled away so he could see Jim's face as he talked to him. He smiled and said, "I know we've got a lot of esplaining to do, Lucy, but I'm not worried. It's not that big of a deal. You were just all cuffed up and nowhere to go." Jim started laughing really hard and before they knew what happened they were both howling. Simon poked his head inside the room and said, "Jim, if you sign this paper, we can get out of here and you two can finish your fun vacation." Jim said, "Bring it on, boss." Jim signed the paper and handed it back to Simon. Simon noticed that Blair wasn't looking at him. So he said to Blair, "Sandburg, things will work out. Life seldom dishes us out more than we can swallow." Joel and Simon made their way to the front door yelling at the same time, "Goodbye." Jim took hold of Blair and pulled him out of the cool water and said, "We're going to go to bed now and sleep. Nothing else. If your fever is better tomorrow then we might do some fun things. But it all depends on how you feel by that time." Blair snuggled into Jim's arms once they got into bed. He was so tired. Blair kissed Jim deeply and said, "I love you, Jim." Jim yawned as he said, "Back at ya, Chief. Now go to sleep so we can begin this vacation over again. Night babe."
